Emergency phones
I would like to point out a problem which occurred last night.
We had severe thunder storms and tornados in our area that knocked our power.
When that happened every phone went out, not because of the phone company but every phone we have is either an answering machine or portable.
I will be getting at least one standard phone that does not require outside power other than the phone company to work.
I would suggest you do the same in case you have to call in an emergency.
